APA, like 2nd nature once you know the rules. 5 Stars. |
I am a student in a graduate education program and it is like a must by all teachers(at the college i attend) for papers to be done in APA format. This spiral booklet gets to the point of how things need to be done. The back of the book provides great models as to how ones paper should look like. Once you know the rules, your papers will have alot of flow to them,but at first they may be a little robotic but with practice things should change for you for the better. Some people love MLA but then others like APA but then with time you will see that the shortest and fastest route to citing information is done with APA. Alot of information doesn't require one to have certain words in Caps and this helps alot, especially when time is so precious that you also need the time to work on your other two classes you are enrolled in. This book also has a site(that it mentions in the book) in case you want to get the APA cd rom but i think amazon dot com already has it.
I recommend this APA book to you, but if you don't like the book return it for a refund and get another book on APA which can help you on your citations, etc. ***Truthful situation*** Graduate students in certain college programs in this country cannot get out of APA....you have to learn it, there is no way around it. Necessary Resource |
| I am in an online doctoral program. This manual is required for the program and I use it almost constantly to write papers for the courses. There are so many rules to writing in the APA format that without the reference manual it would be impossible to write an APA style paper. It is an essential tool for professional writing where APA is required. It does take some study of the manual to become proficient in using it, but content is fairly well laid out and divided into chapters with specific examples. |
